Overview

The Technological and Applied Studies faculty offers a wide variety of courses in both juniour and senior years.

Technology is the mandatory course presented in year 7 and year 8 (stage 4). This course is divided into units that cover the full 200 hours of coursework over the two years. The units explain design related content and technologies such as tools, materials and techniques.

In years 9 and 10 (stage 5) TAS offers elective choices in the technology area. The key areas are:  Food Technology, Graphics Technology including CAD, Industrial Technology including Timber and Leather, and Textiles Technology.

In years 11 and 12 (stage 6) TAS offers Preliminary and HSC courses in: Design and Technology, Engineering Studies, Food Technology, Graphics Technology, and Industrial Technology Graphics and Industrial Technology –Timber. Additionally, a one unit course title Exploring Early Childhood is available.
