Dubbo School of Distance Education enhances student learning through an extensive field services program. The program includes teacher visits to students, workshops in remote and regional localities and student residential camps at the Dubbo school site.

The school has a fully equipped residential facility which permits students in groups of up to 30 to visit the school and their teachers and to participate in lessons, social and sporting activities. In addition many courses require students to demonstrate competencies in a face-to-face environment.
