Cycle of work

When a student enrols in distance education, teachers prepare an initial package of work. This package usually contains a mimimum of four separate weekly packs of work for each course.

In the first week the student completes and returns the first weekly pack of work to DSODE and proceeds to the next weekly pack at the beginning of the second week.

The teacher receives the completed work, assesses it, provides the student with feedback and prepares the next weekly pack to send to the student.

This sets up the cycle of the student completing and returning work, accessing additional work and receiving teacher feedback.

Teachers provide additional support via telephone, email, teleconference, video conference, satellite and field services.
