The following information may be useful to you:
- You are expected to complete one ‘Title Page’ each week. A title page contains work to be completed in five/six lessons. Generally, work can be completed within the period allocated to Visual Arts on your timetable. However, there may be times when some ‘homework’ is required for the work to be finished in the week.

- Try always to send one title page each week so that your teacher knows where you are up to in your program. Each time you send in a title page new work is packed and sent to you. You should always have between 4-10 title pages of work. If this is not the case please contact your teacher so that they can send you new work.
- Each week, the completed work and its accompanying Title Page should be posted to the Dubbo School of Distance Education. You must make sure that all work you send in has your name, year and subject written on it. The return of this work is a record of your attendance in Visual Arts.

- Feedback is provided by your teacher and sent back with each weeks’ work you send in. It is suggested that you take the time to read through your teacher’s comments, so that you can gain an idea of your progress in Visual Arts.

- Learning by distance education requires, and develops independent learning skills and a degree of self-discipline. Some students find it difficult to adapt to a situation where they are not learning under the direct gaze of a teacher. Their rate of return slows and they soon find themselves in a position from which it is difficult to complete the learning program. Be alert for signs that you are falling behind in your program. Contact your teacher regularly to discuss your progress or any concerns with your work that you might have.
- Dubbo School of Distance Education provides a formal Half Yearly report and an End-of Year report.

- Throughout the year, usually once every term you will be invited to participate in Visual Arts Workshops held at the school in Dubbo. Your teacher will notify you of these as they occur.

- An exhibition of students' work occurs in at the end of Term 4 each year. All students are encouraged to make a contribution of their work. Click here to view a virtual gallery of students work by past students at Dubbo School of Distance Education.
While learning via distance education is a challenge, it is important to know that you are not alone in your studies in Visual Arts. There are other students in your class studying Visual Arts via distance education.
Working together we hope that your studies in Visual Arts at the Dubbo School of Distance Education will prove productive and rewarding. If you have any questions regarding your Visual Arts program please contact your teacher.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you at Dubbo School of Distance Education.
All the best from,
